More About Me

Travel

Growing up, I traveled fairly frequently to Hermosillo, Mexico with my family to visit relatives. Some of my favorite memories happen to be there, such as, waking up to carnitas tacos and prepping to spend the day at Kino Bay or visiting the plaza at night when all the street carts sold snacks and musicians played music.

As I got older I wanted to explore more, both within and outside of the United States. Fortunately, there were a few opportunities for me to study art history briefly in Italy, Greece, and New York with class mates and see California and more of Arizona with my friends. Most photos below, except for the group and hiking photos, were taken with a Nikon D3400 which was my first professional camera that unintentionally started my photography journey.

Figure Drawing

I love pushing myself to learn new softwares and programs, but I like to return to my roots and build upon my traditional art skills as well. My tios had always told me growing up to take a figure drawing class when I went to college so this last fall I enrolled in one, so beware there is a bit of nudity.

Stop Motion Exercises

During the pandemic I took an online course about stop motion and I loved the blend of practices and principles I learned. I’m a very hands on learner so this was a very interesting way to gain a deeper understanding of animation that I would recommend to everyone

Thornhill Pack

Fun fact: My Family and I raised a family of pups during the pandemic! My dogs Lady and Bo had a few pups and as a result we now have our little boy Duke.

Bo is seen the most below, he’s always ready to strike a pose and was one of my first models.

Lady is the liver-colored brown dog, we got her a few years back and she is probably the best pointer in the pack.

Duke was almost named King, and that would have been more suiting since he’s pampered like one. He’s a spitting image of his dad but takes after his mom.

And we cannot forget the one day family heirloom, Wargrave the tortoise. I got him senior year the day of homecoming dance and I’m so excited to have him as a life long friend.
