Food Photography
When approaching this project we were given the requirements that one shot should be graphical, another environmental, and an element of motion should be captured for one of them. For the graphical shot I wanted to have bright colors and high contrast. The shadows was accomplished with a snoot, the hard light made the shadows more defined, and the shape of the toast was consistent so it made a nice pattern. For the environmental shot, I wanted to mimic the light peaking through a window of a dark room while pouring a mocktail. There were some shots that made the drink look almost like pouring gold, however, I chose this shot since the stream had the nicest composition and shape.
Lighting Diagrams
To the left is the lighting set up for the toast and to the right is the set up for the drink. In both projects I used soft boxes as fill lights and snoots as my main.
